Expanding 1.7 % in the third quarter and following a decline in the first half of 2008 resulting from the disposal of assets, the GL Group registered renewed growth in line with expectations. The Lyon-based group's 2008 third-quarter sales stood at € 117.1 m. This performance was achieved after particularly robust gains in the first nine months of 2007 (23.6 %). Venue Management and Event Organisation contributed 53 % to consolidated sales for the first nine months. Venue Management's third-quarter sales surged by 30.3 % to hit € 60.6 m. Nine-month sales totalled € 219.6 m on marginal growth. Third-quarter sales for the company's Event-Services declined 7.6 % at constant structures to € 56.5 m. m+a | UFI Exhibition Newsletter
