Messe Stuttgart's good contacts with Italy have paid off in the form of a partnership with MIG, Mostra Internazionale del Gelato Artigianale (International Ice-Cream Industry Exhibition). From this year on, MIG in Longarone and Intergastra, International Technology Trade Fair for Hotels, Restaurants, Catering, Confectioners and Cafés in Stuttgart, will work closely together. According to information from Stuttgart's exhibition CEO Ulrich Kromer, cooperation will focus on the theme ice-cream and its artisanal production. Over the years the International Ice-Cream Industry Exhibition MIG has evolved into the authoritative meeting place for the international ice-cream world, as demonstrated by the roughly 30,000 visitors a year, almost half of whom work abroad and travel to Longarone from some 50 countries. The 25th Intergastra taking place in 2010 on Stuttgart's new exhibition grounds is being moved forward.
