In a Letter of Intent (LoI) valid from June 2008 Messe Frankfurt and the state Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) have staked out the framework for their cooperation on a string of new fairs in Thailand. The agreement was inked by Stephan Buurma, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding, and Natwut Amornvivat, President of the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, in Guangzhou. Messe Frankfurt has already added two new exhibitions to its portfolio in Thailand in cooperation with the Thai exhibition organiser IPEX: Automechanika Thailand in 2006 and Intersec Thailand, which launches December 2008 in Bangkok. The TCEB already supports the Frankfurt-based exhibition company with the organisation of these fairs in Bangkok. On the basis of this collaboration both parties have announced their intention to establish further international exhibitions in Thailand. Under the terms of the LoI Messe Frankfurt will devise and develop new events for the sectors lighting, music/audio, water resource management, tool making and mould construction.
