India Expocentre EXPO XXI, New Delhi, has recently won a contract from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation to host the Russian National Exhibition in November 2008. This major Russian National Forum which is organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Confederation of Indian Industry, amongst others, is part of the official programme announced by the governments of India and Russia as part of the Year of Russia in India and will be attended by an official delegation from Russia, including the country's President Dmitri Medvedev and over 300 top Russian managers from the Russian business elite. The event will take place November 25 to 28, 2008. It will focus on the further development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between Russia and India. Other objectives of the event will be to increase mutual trade including the promotion of Russia's high tech exports, machinery and other technical products to India and encouraging innovation in science.
